The service

Bg Free lets you remove, replace, and blur the background of an image directly in your browser. All image processing happens on your device; see the Privacy Policy for the full details. The service is provided free of charge, with no account required.

Acceptable use

• Use Bg Free only for lawful purposes.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the site's infrastructure in a way intended to cause harm.
• Don't use the tool to process content you don't have the legal right to edit or reproduce.

Your content

You retain all rights to any photo you process with Bg Free. Because processing happens entirely on your device, we never receive, store, or have any ability to view, moderate, or claim any right over the images you edit. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to use and edit whatever image you upload.

Intellectual property

The Bg Free name, branding, and the code that makes up the site belong to its maintainer. This doesn't extend to your photos or the results you generate with the tool — those remain entirely yours.

No warranty

Bg Free is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Background removal quality varies by image and is not guaranteed — some photos, particularly wide open landscape or scenery shots without a clear subject, may not process well; see the About page for why. We make no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bg Free and its maintainer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Use it at your own discretion.

Changes to the service or these terms

Bg Free may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time. If these terms change, the "last updated" date above will reflect that.
